HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - C No. - 31767 of 2025 Court No. - 40 HON'BLE SARAL SRIVASTAVA, J. HON'BLE AMITABH KUMAR RAI, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Ms. Archana Singh, learned counsel for respondent No. 1, and Shri Kundan Rai, learned counsel for respondent No. 3. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief: "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to pay the sum of Rs. 5,77,000/- due for the work of the petitioner." 3. The petitioner claims that he has worked as a security guard in the office of respondent Nos. 2 and 3, but the said respondents have failed to pay the arrears due to him. 4. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3, however, are private bodies and not ‘State’ or ‘other authority’ within the meaning of Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Further, the dispute raised by the petitioner involves disputed questions of fact, which cannot be adjudicated in writ jurisdiction. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to avail such remedies as may be available to him under law.
