1. The learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset submits that as reflected from the prayer clause, at the time this PIL was filed, the petitioner was facing certain difficulty in performing his daily religious rituals. However, she fairly submits that during the pendency of this case, the problem no more subsists and petitioner/public is at present able to perform their religious prayers etc. peacefully.
2. However, since the petitioner is poor downtrodden people and raised this cause in public interest, some observation may be made. Otherwise, petition for all practical purposes has rendered infructuous.
3. Sri Chatterjee, learned Government counsel has no objection.
4. In the interest of justice, it is observed that it will be lawful for the official respondents to ensure the peace and tranquility in the area so that public can perform their religious/rituals peacefully.
5. With the aforesaid observation, this PIL is disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case.
