(ORAL) The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the order dated 27.02.2025, Annexure P-6, whereby the private respondent has been nominated as member of the Executive Council allegedly in violation of Statute 11 of the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology Murthal Act, 2006 (for short, ‘the Act of 2006’). 2. It is not disputed that the petitioner earlier approached this Court with similar prayer by filing CWP No.8432 of 2025, which was disposed of vide order dated 03.04.2025, on the following statement made by learned counsel for the University: Learned counsel for the respondent-University points out that the petitioner has an alternate remedy under Section 31 of the Act of 2006 to make a representation regarding irregular or illegal appointment of members of any authority to the Chancellor, whose decision in that regard shall be final. He submits that the petitioner PAYAL 2025.08.28 09:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CWP-24563-2025 -2- had already made a representation, dated 03.03.2025, Annexure P- 8, to the University in this regard which will be forwarded to the Chancellor within a period of seven days for an appropriate decision. 3. Mr. Anuj Dewan, Standing Counsel for the University, submits that the University had forwarded the petitioner’s representation, dated 03.03.2025, to the second respondent/Chancellor within the time stipulated in the earlier order, dated 03.04.2025, however, the same has not been decided so far. 4. In view thereof, the petition is disposed of with a request to the second respondent/Chancellor to take a final decision on the petitioner’s representation, dated 03.03.2025, preferably within three months of receiving a certified copy of this order.
