ORDER The present Revision Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 28.01.2025 passed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu in Criminal Appeal No.28 of 2020, confirming the conviction
order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Court (Magisterial Level) at Alandur in C.C.No.67 of 2017 dated 23.01.2020. 2.C.C.No.67 of 2017 arises under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, where the Revision Petitioner was arrayed as an accused and after completion of the trial, he was convicted. The Petitioner has challenged the same by way of an Appeal before the Appellate Court in C.A.No.28 of 2020, in which the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Court (Magisterial Level) at Alandur, was confirmed. Against which the present Revision Petition was filed. 3.Pending the Revision Petition, the Petitioner and the Respondent had entered into a joint compromise memo dated 15.06.2026 and filed the same before this Court stating that the entire compensation amount of Rs.37,00,000/- was settled between the parties. CRL RC No. 571 of 2025 __________ Page3 of 4 4.In view of the joint compromise memo filed by the parties, the order dated 28.01.2025 passed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu in Criminal Appeal No.28 of 2020 and the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Court (Magisterial Level) at Alandur in C.C.No.67 of 2017 dated 23.01.2020 are hereby quashed and the terms of the joint compromise memo dated 15.06.2026 entered into between the parties shall form part and parcel of this order. 5.Accordingly, the Revision Petition is allowed in terms of the joint compromise memo dated 15.06.2026 entered into between the parties.
