The petitioner states that the challan was issued alleging that the rider of the motorcycle was driving under the influence of alcohol. However, the photograph captured at the time of the alleged offence shows a vehicle bearing Registration No.TN18E0621, whereas the challan has been issued in respect of the petitioner’s vehicle bearing Registration No.TN18E0612. 3. The learned Government Advocate has produced a copy of the receipt showing that the owner of the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN18E0621 has paid the fine before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court. 4. In view of the above, Challan No.TN159069240306121317 dated 06.03.2024 issued by the second respondent, insofar as it relates to the petitioner’s vehicle bearing Registration No.TN18E0612, is set aside. 5.
