1. The petitioner has filed the present writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 11.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) passed by respondent No.4.
2. Learned State counsel on instructions from Amandeep Singh, Clerk, D.I.G Office Jail, Ferozepur, Circle submits the impugned order dated 11.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) has been withdrawn by the appropriate authority and now fresh order shall be passed by the competent authority by taking into
consideration the law laid down by this Court in CWP-15896-2023 (O&M), titled as “ Dr.Saurabh Sharma and others Vs. State of Punjab and Others.”
, which was upheld by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
3. Learned State counsel further submits that the claim of the petitioner as raised in the instant writ petition shall be deciced by respondent HITESH 2025.09.16 09:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh
CWP-24194-2025 -2 No.3 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
4. Needless to observe that while disposing of the matter, the respondent No.3 shall take into consideration the law laid down by this Court as well as the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the matter of Saurbh Sharma and others (supra).
5. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court and the present petition is accordingy, disposed of.
