Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the Opp. Parties. 3. Petitioner has filed the present writ petition inter alia with the following prayer:- “It is therefore, most humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court be graciously pleased to: i) Admit the writ application. ii) Call for the record. iii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ/writs, direction/directions directing the opposite parties to place the petitioner in the Scale of Professor under the Career Advancement Scheme in terms of the order dated 27.11.2024 passed in W.P. (C) No. 36285/2021 and batch (Dhirendra Kumar Dalai Versus State of Odisha and others under Annexure 6), the “UGC Notification on Revision of Pay Scales, minimum Qualification for Appointments of Teachers in Universities, Colleges & Other measures for the Maintenance of Standards, 1998" under Annexure-2 and Page 2 of 2. the consequential notification dated 31.12.1999 (Govt. of Orissa Notification on Revised U.G.C. Scales of Pay) under Annexure- 3 from the date of completion of 8 years of service as an Associate Professor/Reader. iv) And accordingly the pensionary benefits be extended to the petitioner in the Scale of Professor from the date of his superannuation with all consequential service and financial benefit which the petitioner is entitled in the Professor Scale as has been done in cases of 76 Associate Professor vide notification dated 30.09.2021 under Annexure-5 within a reasonable time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court. v) And/or pass such other order/orders, direction/directions as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper for ends of justice. And for the said act of kindness, the petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray.” 4. However, taking into account the claim raised in the present Writ Petition, liberty is granted to the Petitioner to make a fresh representation before Opp. Party No. 1 by enclosing all the relevant documents and citations in support of his claim, if any, within a period of three (3) weeks hence. 5. It is observed that if such representation is filed within the aforesaid time period, Opp. Party No. 1 shall do well to take a lawful decision on the same within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of such representation. The order so passed by Opp. Party No. 1 be communicated to the Petitioner. 6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
