The petitioner has preferred present writ petition with the prayer to direct the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Mahoba to allow the application dated 09.06.2025 in respect of License No.151/III-A of revolver dated 14.05.2018. The aforesaid application was submitted for extension of area of firearm license from Chitrakoot Dham Mandal Banda to entire State of U.P. 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that though in this regard application has been submitted by the petitioner before the respondent No.2 on 09.06.2025 but till date no final decision has been taken in the matter. 3. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 4. Section 19 of Arms Rules, 2016 provides for extension of area validity of firearm license. It is stated in the aforesaid rule that on receipt of an application from a licensee holding a license in Form III, the licensing authority may extend the area of validity specified in his license, if he is satisfied about the need of such extension.
