Hon'ble Rohit Ranjan Agarwal,J. 1. This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "i. to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 16.12.2023 passed by the respondent nos.2 (Annexure-1 to the writ petition) in Case No. 00256 to the writ of 2020, Computersied Case No. C202006000000256 (Veeran Vs. Smt. Munni Devi) under Section 28 of Land Revenue Act, 1901." 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that against an order passed under Section 28 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901, a revision was preferred which was partly allowed and the matter has been remitted back which is pending consideration before the revenue authorities. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending and without calling for counter affidavit, the writ petition is being disposed of requiring the revenue authorities to conclude the proceedings under Section 28 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901, strictly in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits. Order Date :- 20.8.2025 A. V.
