Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. Present petition has been filed with following prayer:- "Issue writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 30.5.2025 (Annexure No. 2 to this writ petition) with a speaking order within stipulated period of time." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner has filed an application before District Magistrate, Mahoba, for issuance of character certificate who forwarded the same letter dated 30.5.2025 to respondent no. 3- S.P., Mahoba, but till date respondent no. 3 has not taken any action, hence a direction may be issued to the respondent no. 3 to decide the application of character certificate which is not objected by learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 4. Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 3 S.P., Mahoba, to decide the application of character certificate in accordance with rules, maximum within a period of four weeks from the date of Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Chandra Mani Pandey, Tushar Krishnani Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Koshlya @ Rambai .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 2 Others .....Respondent(s) production of a certified copy of this order before him. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case of the petitioner on merits and it is upon the respondent no.3 to decide the application of the petitioner after considering the relevant Acts, Rules, Government Orders, Judicial pronouncement made by the Court as well as facts of the case.
