When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that already a report has been received from the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai and that the application submitted by the petitioner will be processed. If the petitioner satisfies all the requirements, the passport will be reissued in favour of the petitioner. 3. Considering the submissions made on either side and the materials placed on record before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner and reissue/renew the passport, if the petitioner satisfies all the requirements.
