This writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding respondents, particularly respondent No.1 to decide representation of the petitioner dated 12.07.2025. 2. The case of the petitioner is that his workshop got destroyed in a fire that broke out on account of short circuit and in which he suffered considerable loss. The District Magistrate vide letter dated 16.07.2024, addressed to respondent No.1, has recommended for payment of ex gratia compensation to the petitioner under Chief Minister Relief Fund. He submits that since no amount has been paid to the petitioner, therefore, the petitioner has represented on 12.07.2025. 3. Learned Standing Counsel does not oppose the prayer. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by providing that the representation of petitioner dated 12.07.2025 be decided by respondent No.1, taking into consideration the letter of District Magistrate dated 16.07.2024 (Annexure-2), within eight weeks from the date of communication of instant order alongwith photocopy of letter dated 12.07.2025.
