Chutia, learned counsel for the petitioner is present along with Mr. S. Das, learned standing counsel for the Higher Education Department. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the facts of the present case are similar to the facts in WP(C) 8073/2019 and, as such, the present case would be covered by the judgment and order dated 07.02.2025 passed in WP(C) 8073/2019. 3. The petitioners’ case herein is that they have appointed as Guest/ Part time faculty at Barak Valley Engineering Collage, Karimganj on contractual basis. The petitioners have prayed for regularization of their service in terms of the judgment of the Supreme Court of India in the case of State of Karnataka v. Umadevi, 2006 (4) SCC 1 and in the case of State of Karnataka & Ors. v. M.L. Keshari & Ors., 1010 (9) SCC 247. 4. This Court had disposed of WP(C) 8073/2019, vide judgment and order dated 07.02.2025, which is similar to the facts of this case. As the present case is a covered case, the present writ petition is also dismissed in terms of the judgment and order dated 07.02.2025 passed in WP(C) 8073/2019. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
