This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "a) Issue a writ, order, or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Additional Commissioner Administration first Gorakhpur Division Gorakhpur, to decide the Appeal No. RST/348/10/1993-1994 Computer Case No. C199305000050 (Komal/Asharfi Vs. Gaon Sabha) under section 229B of U.P. Zamindari abolition and Land Reforms Act 1950 within a time-bound period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court;" 2. It is contended that an appeal filed against the order under Section 229-B of U.P.Z.A. & L.R. Act is pending consideration which is registered as Appeal No.RST/348/10/1993-1994, Computer Case No.C199305000050. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the said appeal. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon authority concerned to decide Appeal No.RST/348/10/1993-1994, Computer Case No.C199305000050 filed against the order under Section 229-B of U.P.Z.A. & L.R. Act, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
