The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner who was a member of Seva Sahakari Society Maryadit, Sahaspur and was elected as Board of Director of the said society on 18.06.2017 is seeking a direction towards the respondent No. 2 i.e. Commissioner, State Coperative Election Commission to conduct election of the Seva Sahakari Society Maryadit, Sahaspur in accordance with the C.G. Co-operative Societies Rules, 1962 (for short Rules, 1962). 2. Learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 2, on advance copy, submits that the said society has not deposited the voter list, proposal and process fee till date to the Election commissioner for conducting election of the Society. He further submits that on event of submission of voter list, proposal and process fee by the 3 concerned Society necessary steps will be taken in accordance with law under the Rules, 1962 to conduct election. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings as well as the order passed by the Co-ordinate bench of this Court in WPC No. 407 of 2024 in which this Court has observed that ‘ State shall endeavor to hold elections as early as possible in accordance with the provisions of the Rules, 1962.’ 4. Considering the submission made by respondent No. 2, it is directed that the Seva Sahakari Society Maryadit, Sahaspur shall submit the voter list, process fee and proposal before respondent No. 2 and thereafter respondent No. 2 shall take necessary steps in accordance with the Rules, 1962 to conduct election of the Seva Sahakari Society Maryadit, Sahaspur. 5.
