Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K. K. Parasar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the petitioner Mofidul Haque @ Mohammad Mofidul Page No.# 2/2 Haque has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Goroimari P.S. Case No. 12/2025. 3. The allegation brought against this petitioner is that he was indulging in anti-national activities. He had showed an ISIS flag in his mobile phone, he even hoisted a black flag containing religious matters. 4. The case diary reveals that in his mobile phone as well as in his social media handles he expressed derogatory remarks against other religions. Police is still investigating the matter therefore, his remand period is extended by the Magistrate. 5. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel of both sides. 6. This Court is of the opinion that in this kind of cases a thorough police investigation is necessary and releasing the petitioner on bail it would hamper the police investigation. 7. For this reason. this present bail application is found to be devoid of merit and accordingly stands dismissed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
