Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Rakesh Kumar Mishra holding brief of Shri Narendra Kumar Tiwari, learned counsel for the respondent no.1 and 2. 2. Present petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent no.2 to sanction the electricity connection to the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that with regard to her claim the petitioner has already moved an application before the Executive Engineer alongwith notarized stamp on 15.07.2025 with requisite fee but till date no electricity connection has been granted in favour of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that a direction be issued to the respondent no.2-Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division, Kayani Devi, Prayagraj to grant electricity connection to the petitioner forthwith. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 and 2 submitted that against the petitioner a complaint has been received due to which electricity connection could not be granted to the petitioner. 5. We have considered the submission and perused the records. 6. We find that mere filing of a private complaint cannot be a ground to deny the electricity connection to the petitioner. Accordingly, present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2-Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division, Kayani Devi, Prayagraj to consider the application of the petitioner as well as representation dated 15.07.2025 for grant of electricity connection to the petitioner and in case other formalities are completed by the petitioner, electricity connection shall be granted to the petitioner maximum within a period of two weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order and in case of any legal impediment, he is directed to pass a reasoned order within the same period of time.
