In the instant petition, the short grievance projected by the petitioners is that the respondents are extracting services from them as casual laborers, but are not paying them the minimum wages to which they are entitled to, despite having made repeated requests and demands in this regard. 2. Objections to the petition have been filed by the respondents, wherein the engagement of the petitioners is not being disputed or denied, however, in regard to the payment of minimum wages claimed by the petitioners, it is being stated that the approval for enhancement of the wages of the casual laborers working with them has been accorded, yet on account of non-availability of the funds, the enhanced wages could not be paid, including the arrears to the said casual labourers including the petitioners. 3. Having regard to the aforesaid position obtaining in the matter, the instant petition is taken up for final disposal at this stage with consent of the appearing counsel for the parties, and is disposed of with the direction Junaid Ayoub I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document to the respondents to accord effective consideration to the claim of the petitioners for the payment of minimum wages in the event the petitioners are found to be eligible and entitled thereto and disburse the same to them without any delay along with the arrears, if any, preferably within a period of three months from the date a copy of this order is produced by the petitioners. 4. Disposed of. CCP(S) 464/2022 5. In view of the disposal of the petition as above, the contempt notice issued is recalled, and proceedings dropped. 6. Disposed of.
