Mr. learned counsel for the petitioner submits that with the efflux of time, the instant writ petition has been rendered infructuous, inasmuch as the order of detention bearing No. 05/DMB/PSA/25 dated 03.05.2025 has already outlived its life and the detenue has also been released from custody. 2. Mr. Jahangir Ahmad Dar, learned Government Advocate, fairly submits that with the efflux of time, the instant writ petition has been rendered infructuous. 3. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties and having regard to the fact that the detention order has already outlived its life, the instant writ petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. 4. However, it is provided that in case the detenue has not already been released in connection with the aforesaid detention order, he shall be released forthwith, provided he is not required in connection with any other case. 5.
