In terms thereof petitioner’s service has been confirmed and treated as regular employee and he has been given benefit of 23 years instead of 25 years. However learned counsel for respondents submits that benefits could be granted to petitioner as per the Rules/Regulations of State Bank of India from the date he was confirmed and not from the date he has been engaged. 2. Learned senior counsel for petitioner submits that this writ petition may be disposed of permitting petitioner to make a representation before respondents for grant of benefits of left over 02-years. To this preposition, counsel for respondents states that petitioner’s representation would be considered by respondents strictly in accordance with law. 3. In view of above, petitioner shall make an application to respondents for treating his services in SBI from the date of his initial engagement, that is, for the period of 25 years. Respondents on its receipt shall consider and decide the same strictly in accordance with rules governing the field. 4. Disposed of.
