The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with R.C. Case No. 05(A) of 2012 AHD-R, registered for the offences under Sections 420, 423, 424, 467, 468, 469, 471, 477-A, 120-B, 109 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 13(2) read with Sections 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, pending in the court of learned Special Judge, CBI, Ranchi. 3. Mr. Ajit Kumar, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has appeared in the examination conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission in the year 2003, which was investigated by the CBI pursuant to the direction passed in one W.P.(PIL). He submits that only allegation levelled against this petitioner is that he has been provided 20 extra marks by the interview board. He submits that now the chargesheet has already been submitted and in view that the petitioner may kindly be provided the privilege of anticipatory bail. 4. Mr. Prashant Pallav, learned D.S.G.I. appearing for the CBI has opposed the prayer and submits that the allegations are there [2025:JHHC:22080] -2- against the petitioner of obtaining arbitrarily 20 marks in the examination conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission from the interview board. 5. Considering that the chargesheet has already been submitted and during investigation, it appears that the petitioner has co-operated in the investigation that’s why the CBI has not arrested him and only allegation is there against the petitioner of obtaining 20 more marks from the interview board, I am inclined to provide privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is hereby directed to surrender before the learned court within three weeks from today, and in the event of his surrender/arrest, the petitioner, above named, shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand), with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, CBI, Ranchi, in connection with R.C. Case No. 05(A) of 2012 AHD-R, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. (Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, J.) Amitesh/-
