Thasildar, Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. ..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent of revenue department issue patta to the petitioners, situate at Survey No.100/2 based on G.O.Ms. No.854 dated 30.12.2006 Beenanthal Village, Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District based on the order dated 30.07.2006 passed by the 2nd respondent for which the petitioners gave representation to the respondents on 19.01.2024. For Petitioners: Mr.E.Vinoth Kumar For Respondents: Mr.C.Prabakaran Government’s Counsel ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners’ representation dated 19.01.2024. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have made a representation dated 19.01.2024 before the respondents seeking issuance of patta in respect of subject land, based on G.O.Ms.No.854, Revenue Department dated 30.04.2007. Pursuant to which, the 2nd respondent sent a letter to the Tahsildar, Chengam Taluk, to take necessary steps on the said representation. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned Government’s Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioners’ representation dated 19.01.2024 will be considered within a period of twelve weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioners’ representation dated 19.01.2024 by issuing due notice to the petitioners and any other aggrieved parties, if any and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While passing orders, the third respondent is directed to take into consideration the patta issued to a similarly placed person in the same locality. 6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
