Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AC to AAG-15 for the State.

The petitioners have filed the instant writ application for a direction to the respondents to complete selection process in pursuance of advertisement published in the daily newspaper Hindustan and to consider and issue appointment letters forthwith in favour of petitioners as per direction of the State Government contained in order dated 09.12.2016 as per schedule programme and the respondents be
directed not to adjourn the process of selection on any count.

3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits, by taking this Court to the supplementary counter affidavit filed by them. In paragraph 11, it has been stated that, in light of the orders passed in various other cases, such as CWJC No.1122 of 2018, CWJC No.7173 of 2017, and CWJC No.663 of 2018, a revised timeline for completion of the appointment process in the fifth phase was issued vide letter no. 909 dated 03.06.2019, in which the time limit for completion of the appointment process was prescribed as 29.06.2019.
4. He further draws the attention of this Court to paragraph 12 of the supplementary counter affidavit. It has been stated that, vide the aforementioned letter, it was prescribed that the appointment process for the fifth phase was to be completed by 29.06.2019, and that the appointments made in the fifth phase shall be deemed to have been completed as per the timeline prescribed therein. Accordingly, the appointment process in the fifth phase was completed, and thereafter, the appointment process for the sixth phase was commenced vide letter no. 1142 dated 01.07.2019.
5. On the strength of such submissions, learned counsel for the State submits that the entire process of appointment, pursuant to the recommendation made by the
Patna High Court CWJC No.202 of 2019(5) dt.08-09-2025 3/3 selection body, has been completed, and accordingly, the writ application has become infructuous.
6. Having regard to the stand taken by the parties, the instant writ application is disposed of with liberty restored to the petitioners to take recourse to remedies as provided in law, in case of any grievance pursuant to the recommendation and appointment.
