Side) : Mr.M.Divakaran (R5) ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 16.05.2025, preferred under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, challenging the order passed by the second respondent dated 17.10.2024. 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.17706 of 2025 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has preferred the above appeal before the first respondent on 16.05.2025 under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. Though the appeal has been pending for a considerable period, the same has not been disposed of till date. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the said appeal within a time frame fixed by this Court. 3.Considering the limited relief sought in the present Writ Petition, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 16.05.2025, if it has not already been disposed of, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fifth respondent, and all other necessary 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.17706 of 2025 parties, if any, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
