The petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Chintamani Taluk to consider his representation that he being a agreement holder in respect of Survey Nos. 62, 106 and 108 of Chintamani Village, Kasaba Hobli, Chintamani Taluk, and there being a suit pending between the family members in O.S.No.174/2010, the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32485 WP No. 32301 of 2024 Tahsildar should be directed not to make any entry in the revenue records. 3. Learned Additional Government Advocate raises a preliminary objection that such a direction cannot be sought at the hands of this Court. 4. There is substance in the submission of the learned Additional Government Advocate. The revenue authorities are duty bound to consider an application for mutation entry in terms of the provisions contained in Sections 128 and 129 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964. In the alternative, if any directions are issued by a competent Civil Court to the Tahsildar, the Tahsildar is also duty bound to comply with such directions that could be issued by the Civil Court.
