HEMALEKHA ORAL ORDER The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 02.02.2023 submitted by him, seeking release of the compensation as per Annexure-A. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGA for respondent No.1 and learned counsel for respondent No.2. 3. The petitioner claims to be the owner of land bearing Sy. No. 76 measuring 5 acres 2 guntas situated at Bavanahalli Village, Kasaba Hobli, Malur Taluk. The said land was acquired by the second respondent-Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) for the purpose of industrial development. Pursuant to the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:43346 WP No. 18528 of 2025 acquisition, an award came to be passed. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent requesting release of compensation as per the award. It is seen that, the second respondent addressed a letter to the Tahsildar calling for verification of the documents submitted by the petitioner pertaining to the acquired land and sought a certificate regarding their genuineness. The Tahsildar is stated to have submitted a report confirming that the petitioner’s documents are in order. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the submission of the representation, no action has been taken by the second respondent till date. 5. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that the petitioner’s representation will be considered in accordance with law within a reasonable time. 6. In view of the above, the grievance of the petitioner would be met if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation. Accordingly, this Court pass the following : ORDER (a) Writ Petition is disposed of. (b) The second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner’s representation at Annexure-A dated 02.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders, taking into consideration the report of the Tahsildar dated 02.12.2024, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
