The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order quashing the rowdy sheet opened by the R3 against the petitioner. b. Issue any other writ or order or direction that deems fit to grant in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite acquittal of the petitioner in CC No.15344/2021, vide judgment dated 12.03.2024 and the quashing of the criminal proceeding in CC No.11303/2022 by this Court, vide order dated 29.07.2022, the name of the petitioner still continues on the rowdy sheeter list. 3. During the pendency of those criminal proceedings as also thereafter there is no other criminal proceedings which has been filed against the petitioner. 4. On enquiry, learned AGA confirms that there are no other proceedings which have been filed as also - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:51908 WP No. 15136 of 2025 confirms the acquittal and quashing of the proceedings as afore indicated. 5. If that be so, I am of the considered opinion that the petitioner's name cannot still continue in the rowdy sheeter list when the reason for opening the rowdy sheet against the petitioner no longer survives. As such, I pass the following: ORDER i) The Writ Petition is allowed. ii) A Mandamus is issued directing the respondents to delete the name of the petitioner from rowdy sheeter list within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
