Thakuria, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. U. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel for the Secondary Education and Mr. R. De, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 4 and 5. 2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is working as Assistant Teacher at Uparhali High School, seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to release the monthly salary from September, 2021 to February, 2023 of the petitioner. 3. The communication dated 13.03.2025 from the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Secondary Education, reveals that the respondent authorities have agreed to release the arrear salary in respect of the petitioner. It appears that only hiccup of the release of said arrear salary is due to want of concurrence of Finance Department, for which, the respondent authorities are seriously pursuing. 4. Having considered the categorical stand of the respondent authorities that they have agreed to release the arrear salary claimed by the petitioner, I am of the view that keeping the present petition would be unnecessary, therefore, I deem it appropriate to close this writ petition with a direction to the respondent authorities to release the amount to the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, as agreed to by the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondent authorities particularly, Page No.# 3/3 Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Secondary Education to release the arrear salary claimed by the petitioner for the period from September, 2021 to February, 2023, within a period of three months from today. 6.
