The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to issue passport in favour of the petitioner. 2. It is admitted to the petitioner that there were two criminal cases registered against him. The case of the petitioner is that in one case, a final report has been submitted and it has also been duly accepted by the court and in other case, he has only been fined with Rs.100/-. 3. Shri Anil Kumar Rai, Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents No. 1, 2 & 3 has placed on record the written instructions received from the Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad. According to it, show cause notices dated 23.07.2025 and 29.07.2025 have been issued to the petitioner but he has not submitted any reply to the same. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly accepts the said factual position. 5. Consequently, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to respond to the show cause notices and annex therewith the relevant material on which he is relying upon in support of the submissions made before this Court so that the same is examined by respondent No. 3. Respondent No. 3 will take appropriate decision in the matter within three weeks from the date the petitioner submits his reply along with supporting evidence. September 16, 2025 Mukesh Kr.
