NATARAJ ORAL ORDER Petitioners have sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider two representations of even date i.e. 28.11.2022 submitted by petitioner No.1 to respondent No.2 and representations dated 28.11.2022 and 30.11.2022 submitted by petitioner Nos.2 and - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:53976 WP No. 13556 of 2025 3 respectively, to respondent No.2, and enter their name(s) in the eKhata in respect of the respective property owned by them and issue khata extracts to them. 2. The petitioners claimed that they are all the owners of certain properties lying within the limits of the respondent No.2. They contend that they are in possession and enjoyment of their respective property and they have paid the property tax. They contend that they had filed applications before the respondent No.2 for entering their names in the eKhata as the property/ies was/were earlier assessed to property tax in their names. They contend that the aforesaid representations are not considered and therefore, pray that a direction be issued to respondent No.2 to consider their representations and record their names in the eKhata in respect of the respective property owned by them. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners reiterated the above contentions. 4. Learned counsel for the respondent Nos.2 and 3 submits that the respondent No.2 would take necessary steps to enter the names of the petitioners in the eKhata if the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:53976 WP No. 13556 of 2025 petitioners produce all the required documents and also if their names appear in the property register maintained by the respondent No.2. 5. In view of the aforesaid submission, this petition is disposed off directing the respondent No.2 to consider the representation(s) of the petitioners as mentioned above in accordance with law. If the petitioners file all the necessary documents as may be called upon by the respondent No.2, the respondent No.2 shall enter the names of the petitioners in the eKhata in respect of the respective property owned by them in accordance with law, within 30 days from the date of the petitioners producing all the relevant documents.
