1. Learned counsel appearing for the State has sought for leave of this Court to file the show cause.
2. Let the show cause be taken on record.
3. The copy of the same has been served to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. It is a case for initiating proceeding for contempt against Opp. Party No. 2 for alleged and willful non-compliance of the order dated 11.05.2023 passed in W.P. (S) No. 5046 of 2013.
5. The show cause has been filed.
6. Learned counsel for the concerned opposite party, by referring to Annexure A, which is a policy decision by way of Resolution dated 09.05.2024 has submitted that decision has been taken holding the writ petitioners entitled for the arrears of difference of salary, but the decision has been taken to extend the monetary benefit not from the date of actual entitlement rather the arrears is to be paid only for the period of three years.
7. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that once the writ petitioners have been held to be entitled for the arrears of difference of salary where is the justification to extend the benefit only for the period of three years.

8. This Court has considered the said argument but the same cannot be adjudicated in the contempt proceeding, rather it requires
consideration by approaching the appropriate forum.
9. The order since has substantially been complied with and as such this Court does not intend to proceed further.
10. Accordingly, the instant contempt case being Cont. Case (Civil) No. 264 of 2024 stands disposed of, however, reserving liberty to the writ petitioners to challenge the resolution dated 09.05.2024 before the appropriate forum.
11. Pending interlocutory application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
