HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - C No. - 30705 of 2025 Court No. - 40 HON'BLE SARAL SRIVASTAVA, J. HON'BLE AMITABH KUMAR RAI, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has assailed the order dated 04.08.2025. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite there being a resolution of the Bar Association, Chail, District Kaushambi for holding elections, the Bar Association has already constituted an Elders' Committee. However, respondent no. 2 has also passed an order for holding elections and, for that purpose, he constituted another Elders' Committee for conducting the election. 4. It is not disputed that the term of the petitioner has expired. 5. We are of the considered view that since the process of election has already been set in motion, and the petitioner, being the ex-President, has no vested right to continue in office, therefore, we do not find it appropriate at this stage to interfere with the impugned order dated 4.8.2025. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. 6. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the election of the office bearers, if so advised, after the election process is completed in accordance with law.
