HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - A No. - 14789 of 2025 Court No. - 4 HON'BLE AJIT KUMAR, J. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 6th March, 2024 and 13th January, 2025 by which their claim for counting previous service rendered in Army towards service in Police Department has come to be rejected on the ground that Government Order dated 23.12.2020 has done away with this benefit. It is argued that just for petitioner being sent in the second batch of training as police constable during pandemic Covid-19 that petitioner has been denied benefit, whereas, the batch of constables selected in same selection sent for training earlier has been benefited. It is submitted that this Court has dealt with the controversy involved in Writ - A No. 10689 of 2024, Sita Ram Sharma along with connected matters has allowed the claim of such constables for the benefit counting period of service rendered in previous service namely armed forces vide judgment and
order dated 09.04.2025.
Learned counsel for the petitioner though has sought to contest that petitioner had himself given No Objection but could not dispute the legal proposition laid by this Court in Writ - A No. 10689 of 2024 disposed of on 09.04.2025. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of in terms of the
judgment and order dated 09.04.2025 passed in Writ - A No. 10689 of 2024 and in the circumstances, order impugned dated 6th March, 2024 and 13th January, 2025 passed by respondent no. 3 is hereby quashed with consequential benefit.
