Petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.717 of 2024 arising out of Sukhdeonagar (Pandra) P.S. Case No. 342 of 2024, for the offences registered under Section 304(B) of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-VI, Ranchi. The petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased Puja Paswan, who died due to hanging in her matrimonial home within seven years of her marriage. There is allegation that the petitioner was torturing her to enforce demand of Rs.25 lakhs and flat in his name. It was submitted that petitioner was not present at Saharnpur at the time when the victim has committed suicide. It was also submitted that deceased has died inside closed the room. Report regarding the stage of trial earlier called for, has been received. It appears that out of 22 witnesses, 10 prosecution witnesses have been examined in this case. Considering the nature of allegation and the fact that trial is under progress, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for stands rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
