HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD HABEAS CORPUS WRIT PETITION No. - 801 of 2025 Court No. - 85 HON'BLE VINOD DIWAKAR, J.
1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned A.G.A. for the State, and perused the record.
2. The present petition has been preferred by petitioner no.2 on behalf of petitioner no.1–the corpus, with the averment that petitioner no.2 has entered into a marriage with the corpus. In support of such contention, certain photographs have been annexed. On the strength of the said assertion, a prayer has been made for issuance of appropriate directions to ensure the liberty of the corpus.
3. In compliance with the order of this Court, the corpus has been produced. Upon interaction in open Court, the corpus has categorically stated that no marriage has ever been solemnized between her and petitioner no.2. She has further clarified that the photographs relied upon by petitioner no.2 do not establish the existence of any matrimonial relationship. The corpus has unequivocally expressed her unwillingness to accompany petitioner no.2 and has declared her desire to reside independently in accordance with her own free will.
4. In the given facts-circumstances of the case, the present petition, being devoid of merits, is dismissed. September 11, 2025 Anil K.
