The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner’s mother had purchased the property comprised in Old S.F.No. 138/2, corresponding to New S.F.Nos. 339/2 and 335/3, measuring an extent of 81.5 cents, situated at Aathangudi Village, Koothanallur Taluk, Thiruvarur District. The said land is Government land classified as 'Natham' in the revenue records. Following her demise, by virtue of a registered Partition Deed, the petitioner became entitled to the said share measuring an extent of 81.5 cents. Consequently, the petitioner sent a representation to the 2nd respondent herein on 12.01.2022, requesting the issuance of a patta for the subject property. Subsequently, the 3rd respondent also recommended to the 2nd respondent to issue a patta for the said property in favour of the petitioner, vide his proceedings dated 11.08.2023. However, to date, the patta has not been granted to the petitioner. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner’s representation dated 12.01.2022 would be considered and disposed of by the 2nd respondent on its own merits, within a period of six weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the submissions made, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 12.01.2022 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The 2nd respondent shall take into consideration the recommendation/proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 11.08.2023, and afford a fair hearing/notice to the petitioner as well as any other interested parties before passing the final order. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
