C CHAKRAVARTY (R5),MR. S SARMA (R5),MR. JYOTIRMOY ROY (R5),GA, ASSAM BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN DEV CHOUDHURY ORDER 04.04.2025 None appears for the petitioners on call. However, Mr. J. Roy, learned counsel representing the respondent No. 5 and Mr. A. Kalita, learned counsel representing the respondent No. 6 are present. Page No.# 3/3 The grievance of the petitioners is non payment of land acquisition compensation. It is recorded on the earlier occasion that the respondent No. 5 i.e. The Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has already made the payment in the respective bank accounts of the petitioners [though there is a mistake in recording the respondent No. 5 as respondent No. 6 in the said order]. In the aforesaid order dated 28.02.2025, instruction was sought whether the respondent No. 6 has paid their part. Mr. A. Kalita, learned counsel representing the respondent No. 6 i.e. Numaligarh Refinery Limited submits that the payment on their part has also been made and the petitioners have duly received the same. A copy of the acknowledgment of land compensation and no further claims received by the petitioners are produced and same is kept on record. As none appears for the petitioners on call, this writ petition stands dismissed for non prosecution. It is needless to say that if the payments are duly made, there shall not be any bar for mutating the name of the respondent Nos. 5 and 6 against the acquired land. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
