1. By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:-
“10.1 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, thereby directing the respondent authorities to release thegratuity amount in favour of petitioner forthwith, with interest @ 12% per annum from the date of entitlement to its actual payment. 10.2 That any other relief/order which may deem fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case including award of the cost of the petition may be given.”
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was retired on on 30.11.2024. After retirement, the respondents have calculated the amount of gratuity to be paid to the petitioner on
19.11.2024. However, till date, even after calculation of the amount of gratuity, it has not been paid to the petitioner and therefore, direction be issued to the respondents to pay the amount of gratuity as calculated by the respondents.
3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the Respondents/State submits that the amount of gratuity as ordered to be paid to the petitioner is in the process of payment. As per the instructions, the amount of gratuity as calculated in the order would be paid to the petitioner the earliest, subject to verification of the same.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents placed on record.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of grievance raised, submission of the counsel for the respective parties that the payment of the amount of gratuity due to the petitioner to the tune of Rs. 4,44,690/- is not disputed by the counsel for the petitioner.
6. For the foregoing reasons, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to make the payment of the amount of gratuity to the petitioner as ordered on 23.07.2024 (Annexure P/4) in expeditiously. preferably within a period of 03 weeks from the date of receipt of the in accordance with the provisions of law applicable.
7. With the aforementioned observation and direction, writ petition is
