2. Petition is filed by the wife under Section 24 of CPC with the following prayer:
“Wherefore it is humbly prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to a. Pass an order to transfer the proceedings initiated by the respondent/husband in MC No.92/2025 on the file of Prl. Judge, Family Court, Chikkamagaluru to the Principal Family Court, Hassan. b. Pass such other/further orders as this Hon’ble Court deems fit under the
facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.”

Facts in the nutshell which are utmost necessary for disposal of the present petition are as under: On account of the strained matrimonial relationship between the parties, respondent/husband filed a petition for divorce under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act in M.C.No.92/2025 on the file of Family Court, Chikkamagaluru.
4. Wife is seeking transfer of the said proceedings to Family Court, Hassan on the ground of geographical distance and financial incapacity.
5. This Court did not deem it fit to issue notice to the respondent in view of the fact that petitioner can very well participate effectively in the pending matrimonial proceedings at Chikkamagaluru by utilizing the video conferencing facility inasmuch as the geographical distance and financial incapacity are no longer valid

6. If the petitioner/wife files an application before the Court at Chikakmagaluru to effectively participate in the pending matrimonial proceedings through video conferencing facility, learned Judge shall permit the petitioner to do so.
7. With that observation, following,
