ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to execute the sale deed in favour of the petitioner for Plot No. 417/A, T.V.K. Nagar, Chennai – 11, and issue patta falling within the limits of Zone–6, Division–67, Chennai Corporation, based on the petitioner’s representations dated 31.03.2010, 10.07.2011, 15.03.2012, 10.12.2012, 12.08.2013, 15.02.2014, 25.11.2014, 12.09.2015, 05.01.2018, 06.03.2019, 05.02.2020, 20.04.2023, 28.06.2024 and lastly on 03.01.2025. 2. It is averred in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition that by virtue of Government Order in G.O. No. 971 dated 15.07.1987, the petitioner approached the respondents for issuance of patta in respect of the allotment of the plot in T.V.K. Nagar, wherein the petitioner is stated to have been in continuous occupation and enjoyment of the said plot. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in connection with allotment and issuance of patta, the petitioner has given several representations and sought for a direction to the respondents to consider the said representations and pass necessary orders by 2 / 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 17708 of 2025 issuing patta. 3. The learned Government Counsel appearing for Respondents 1 and 3 submitted that, in coordination with the 2nd respondent, the representation of the petitioner will be disposed of and requested four weeks’ time to consider and pass necessary orders. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that once the subject property has been allotted to the petitioner, the respondents are bound to execute the sale deed legally in favour of the petitioner. In this regard, the respondents are directed to register the sale deed in favour of the petitioner on satisfying the conditions stipulated in the Government Order. The respondents are further directed to dispose of the petitioner’s representation on merits and in accordance with law and carry out the entire exercise as directed above within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
