JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader is directed to take notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the petitioners that, Sri Gorlaramappa, the husband of petitioner no. 1 and father of petitioner no. 2 was granted 3 acres of land in Survey No.79 of Thulavanur Village, Chilakalatanerpu Hobli, Chintamani Taluk, Chikkaballapur District, in the year 1977. It is contended that grant was made in favour of Sri Gorlaramappa and a grant certificate was also issued in his favour in the year 1979. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:36657 WP No. 13176 of 2024 Mutation entries were carried out in the revenue records in terms of M.R.No.352-2/1982-83. Sri Gorlaramappa died in the year 2016 leaving behind the petitioners as his legal heirs. It is contended that the name of Sri.Gorlaramappa was not continued in the revenue records after computerization. Therefore the petitioners gave representations to the respondents vide Annexures-K, L and M seeking re-entry of the name of Sri.Gorlaramappa in the revenue records and thereafter, to mutate and enter their names on the basis of succession. 3. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned High Court Government Pleader and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of Sri.Gorlaramappa was earlier entered in the land revenue records. After the death of Sri Gorlaramappa in the year 2016, his name has not been continued in the revenue records after computerization. The petitioners made representations to the respondents vide Annexures-K, L and M seeking re-entry of the name of Sri.Gorlaramappa in the revenue records and thereafter, to - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:36657 WP No. 13176 of 2024 mutate and enter the names of the petitioners on the basis of succession, but the representations have not been considered by the respondents. 4. It is the duty of the respondents to secure the original Grant Records, Saguvali Chit Issue Register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy themselves regarding the grant made in favour of Goralaramappa. Moreover, there is no reason why the name of Gorlaramappa which was earlier entered in the land revenue records has not been continued after computerization. The respondents are duty bound to look into all these aspects and pass necessary orders. 5. Consequently, this writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the respondents to consider the representations at Annexures K, L and M given by the petitioners and in the light of the observations made hereinabove, verify all the relevant original records and pass necessary orders to enter the name of late Sri Goralaramappa. Subsequently the respondents shall look into the aspect of the legal heirs of late Sri Goralaramappa and pass necessary orders in accordance with law. The entire process shall be completed - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:36657 WP No. 13176 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
