In this petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution, petitioner has challenged order dated 24.05.2025, passed by learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Dehradun in Original Suit No. 835 of 2024. By the said order, the application filed by petitioner under Order 6 Rule 17 CPC, seeking leave to amend the plaint has been rejected. Learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Dehradun has held that nature of the suit would be changed if amendment is allowed. 3. I have gone through the plaint of the divorce suit filed by the petitioner as well as the amendment application. Petitioner has sought as many as 26 amendments in the plaint. 4. From perusal of the pleadings sought to be incorporated in the plaint, it is revealed that if prayer for the amendment is allowed, it will certainly change the nature of the suit. 5. In such view of the matter, this Court do not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order. The writ petition fails and is dismissed.
