(ORAL) This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed seeking quashing of the order dated 04.03.2023 (Annexure P-1) passed by learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Patiala, titled as ‘Ishpreet Singh vs Deepak Rana etc' in complaint No.2621 of 2020 dated 27.10.2020 filed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act vide which the petitioner was declared proclaimed person. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had no intention to evade the legal proceedings and has never deliberately avoided the process of law. He submits that the petitioner was never served either through summons or through Court staff, registered post or through any police official as the petitioner is residing in Delhi. A request is made that the petitioner would surrender within a week from today and apply for regular bail, his application be taken up expeditiously. In case the petitioner fails to surrender within a week, this order shall stand vacated automatically without reference to the Court.
