The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking quashing of FIR No.106 dated 30.07.2023 registered under Section 306 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Hargobindpur, District Batala (Annexure P-1) as well as all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 06.09.2024 (Annexure P-2) arrived at between the parties. 2. There was no representation on behalf of the petitioner on the last date of hearing. Even today also the position is the same. 3. Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Sukhdev Singh, submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous as the petitioner has been acquitted, vide order dated 13.05.2025, passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Gurdaspur. 4.
