KRISHNA. SMT. S. SEETHA, PP. THIS CRIMINAL MISC. CASE HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 07.02.2025, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY PASSED THE FOLLOWING: 2025:KER:11422 Crl.M.C.No.1310 of 2025 2 ORDER Dated this the 7th day of February, 2025 The challenge in this Crl.M.C. is against Annexure D order by which the petitioner was granted permission to get her passport renewed for a period of one year. The challenge is on the premise that permission for renewal/revalidation ought to have been granted for 5 years, as the petitioner is pursuing her studies in Germany. 2. Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Senior Panel Counsel. 2025:KER:11422 Crl.M.C.No.1310 of 2025 3 3. As rightly pointed out by the learned Senior Panel Counsel, the period of one year granted as per Annexure D order got over by 26.09.2024. The petitioner did not have any grievance till expiry of the validity period. As such, the challenge now raised cannot be entertained, since the remedy is to move a fresh petition before the trial court seeking permission to get the passport renewed/revalidated for further period. 4. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that it will be difficult to move such a petition as his client is presently in Germany. The period for which permission for renewal was granted by the trial court having expired, the petitioner can inform the court about her situation in the petition seeking renewal/revalidation of passport. 2025:KER:11422 Crl.M.C.No.1310 of 2025 4 The Crl.M.C. is accordingly closed, without prejudice to the petitioner’s right to move the trial court for revalidation of her passport.
