1. Mr. Manmeet Singh Bindra, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.3 and has filed Memorandum of Appearance, which is taken on record.
2. Pursuant to the previous order passed by this Court, upon instructions from Mr. Rajat Gopal, Water Supply and Sanitation Division No.1, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, State counsel submits that the entire amount of Rs.75,58,000/- shall be paid within a period of 08 weeks, from today.
3. Counsel for the petitioner is satisfied with the statement made by the State Counsel. He however submits that the respondents be penalized, in case, the said amount is not paid within the aforesaid period.
4. Accordingly, it is directed that in case, the amount is not disbursed within a period of 08 weeks, petitioner shall be entitled to pay interest @ 6% p.a. from 07.03.2024 i.e. the date when Completion Certificate (Annexure P-4) PARUL VERMA 2025.09.18 15:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
2 was issued to the petitioner.
5. In view thereof, writ petition is disposed of.
