(Oral) Prayer in the present petition is for directing the respondent(s)- authorities to grant annual increment to the petitioners accrued in their favour on 1st of July of the retirement year inter alia in view of the judgment dated 16.04.2024 passed by a Division Bench of this Court in CWP-8364-2024 titled as ‘Suresh Kumar Singla and others Vs. State of Haryana and others’. 2. After arguing at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner(s) submits that the petitioner(s) would be satisfied at this stage, in case respondent(s)-authorities are directed to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner(s), by passing a speaking order in a time bound manner in VISHAL SHARMA 2025.08.13 18:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-23494-2025 -2- view of the judgment passed in the matter of Suresh Kumar Singla and others (supra). 3. Notice of motion. 4. Dr. (Ms.) Malvika Singh, DAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and prays for some time to complete instructions and file response, if necessary. He, however, does not have any objection to the above request. 5. The present petition is accordingly disposed of without commenting on the merits of the present case and with a direction to respondent No.2-Engineer-in-Chief (Bldgs.)-cum-HOD, Haryana to consider the case of the petitioner(s) by treating the present writ petition as a representation and to take a considered decision after taking into consideration the law including the Division Bench judgment passed in the matter of Suresh Kumar Singla and others (supra). The same be decided expeditiously and preferably within a period of 04 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and after granting an effective opportunity of hearing to the respective parties, if permissible, and in accordance with law. 6. Needless to mention that if upon considering the said representation, in case any monetary benefit is found due and payable to the petitioner(s), the same shall be disbursed in their favour within a further period of two months.
