On 18.02.2025, this Court in WPSS No.3317 of 2017, Kali Charan Vs. State of Uttarakhand and Others, had directed the respondents to reconsider the petitioner’s claim for regularisation under the applicable Regulation Rules within a period of four months from the date of production of certified copy of the order. In this contempt petition, on 21.08.2025, learned State Counsel had given a statement under instructions that the order dated 18.02.2025 of the Court had not been complied with. It is, thereafter, this Court had issued notice to the respondent no.2. Today, respondent no.2 is not present, but in place, Mr. B.L. Rana, the present Director, is present. He submits that the representation of the petitioner has been decided on 15.09.2025, and it has been rejected. The Court wanted to know from learned State Counsel as to why the order was not complied on time? Learned State Counsel submits that incumbent at the relevant time has been transferred, and the present director has decided the representation. Be it as it may, the order has been complied with, though it is little delayed, but this Court does not intend to proceed for that delay in the instant matter.
