JUSTICE M.I.ARUN - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:40977 CRL.P No. 6747 of 2023 ORAL ORDER 1. Respondent No.2 - complainant, is the daughter-in-law of the petitioners herein. On her complaint C.C.No.3863/2023 is pending before the Court of the VI ACJM, Bengaluru City. The petitioners herein are arrayed as accused Nos.2 and 3, with the husband of respondent No.2 being arrayed as accused No.1. The petitioners herein are charged with offences under Sections 498-A and 34 of IPC. 2. The petitioners and respondent No.2 are present before the Court and are duly identified by their respective advocates. 3. It is submitted by both the counsel for the petitioners as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2 that the parties have mutually settled the matter, and it is prayed that the criminal proceedings against the petitioners be quashed. An application under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. / 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 for compounding is also filed and the same is taken on record. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:40977 CRL.P No. 6747 of 2023 4. It is also submitted that the primary accused in C.C.No.3863/2023 is the husband of the second respondent and a compromise has been entered into with him also and the proceedings against him has been quashed in Crl.P.No.14084/2025. 5. Admittedly, the dispute is marital in nature. The parties have arrived at a compromise. The petitioners are not alleged to have committed any heinous crime. Quashing of the proceedings against the petitioners will serve the interests of both the complainant (respondent No.2) and the petitioners herein allowing them to lead their lives peacefully. 6. Learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1 also has no objection for quashing the proceedings. Hence, the following:- ORDER i. The petition is allowed. ii.
