A case was registered in Cr.No.136 of 2020 on 11.03.2020 for the alleged offence under Section 7(1)(a) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2005. The Final Report was laid on 04.08.2021 and the accused has been facing trial since then. Thus, it can be seen that the allegations concern exercising the democratic right to protest.
